Galaxy S4 Mini, available in two versions, already updated to Jelly Bean 4.2.2
Not too long ago, Samsung leaked, on their own website, Galaxy S4 Mini. The information comes from DroidGator.com.
Soon after they noticed their own mistake, people over at Samsung took the pics and info about this smartphone away. But not before someone snagged an opportunity to take pics of the model in question and post them online. If you take a close look at the leaked photos of the Galaxy S4 Mini, you will see what kind of specifications it brings.
The handset has a Super AMOLED touchscreen measuring 4.3 inches. Its resolution looks to be 960 x 540 pixels. The battery inside this model is 2,100 mAh and the OS is Google's Android 4.2 Jelly Bean; so, naturally, the user interface should be TouchWiz. As for processor power, the S4 Mini will be weaker, since it packs a dual-core 1.6 GHz CPU. The cam will sit on the phone's rear and it comes with 8 megapixels for your needs. Internal storage space and memory include the following: 32 GB and 2 GB.
The Galaxy S4 Mini was expected to make an appearance at the manufacturer's Premiere 2013 event. So the mini S4 should be unveiled in the week prior to that; or even during the event itself.
The Galaxy S4 was expected to land in 2 models: GT-I9195 and SGH-I257, products already available in the stores.
The first version of the phone, the GT-I9195 was already updated to the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
The handset does not look like it feature 4G, only an LTE model and a 3G one (which delivers 1 GB of RAM). Other connectivity options includes: GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy S4 has been sold in more than 20 million units all over the world so far. With the new model coming soon, it is expected that the manufacturer will become even more successful in sale numbers. However, the Galaxy S4 Mini will probably be unappealing to consumers who are after more processor power, a better battery and so on. But more than likely, the handset's price will be much cheaper, making it more attractive than its more advanced brother.
Samsung is rumored to be working on the launch of Galaxy S4 Active. This might be the rugged version of the S4. With that in mind, we are, for now, left waiting for the official release of two new smartphones property of the South Korean manufacturer.
